成立于2003年亚特兰大的Cartel，成员包括：主唱兼吉他、钢琴弹奏Will Pugh、双吉他手Joseph Peppers以及Nic Hudson、贝斯手Ryan Roberts与鼓手Kevin Sanders。2004年于独立厂牌发行首张EP《The Ransom》，引起独立摇滚界的瞩目.到2005年才正式发行了第一张专辑Chroma,登上音乐产业权威调查机构Soundscan之另类摇滚新人榜冠军，进入超过50家独立唱片行的销售榜Top20之林，成为The Militia Group厂牌旗下销售最佳团体。06年顺利签下Epic Record主流大厂一纸合约，将《Chroma》二度问世，挺进全美流行专辑行列中。乐队风格比较偏流行，又带些吟游诗人的感觉。作品的主题都是爱和生活这些最容易俘获人心灵的内容。所以很容易被人接受。主唱Will Pugh曾开玩笑说自己只追求在Pop-Punk道路上走一小步就很让自己满意了，但旋律优美的Chroma看来正带着Cartel在punk正确的道路上大步的前进着。
