英国新医学法规引起争议
翻译原文:
Controversial new guidelines for health professionals in Britain would give experienced nurses the authority to decide whether seriously op-patient should be resuscitated. Until now only senior doctors have been allowed to make such a decision. With more here’s Owen Clack.
The British medical association is recommending that experienced nurse should be given the power to decide whether a patient should be revived if their heart stops. The new guidelines on what could be a life-and-death decision have prompt a fierce debate with critics saying that nurses have neither the training or experience necessary. Supporters of the measure say it would allow terminally ill patients to die with dignity when no senior doctors are available to make resuscitation decision. The guideline aims to prevent what is being called the undignified and unnecessary resuscitation of patients who would not benefit from the procedure.
