Hu Jintao was reelected president of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and chairman of the PRC Central Military Commission (CMC) at the fifth
plenary meeting of the First Session of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) on Saturday.

The plenary meeting also reelected Wu Bangguo chairman of the NPC Standing Committee and elected Xi Jinping vice-president of the PRC.
会议还选举吴邦国任第十一届全国人大常委会委员长，习近平任国家副主席。
Elected to the posts of vice-chairmanship of the NPC Standing Committee were Wang Zhaoguo, Lu Yongxiang, Uyunqimg, Han Qide, Hua Jianmin, Chen Zhili, Zhou Tienong, Li Jianguo, Ismail Tiliwaldi, Jiang Shusheng, Chen Changzhi, Yan Junqi and Sang Guowei. The post of secretary-general of the NPC Standing Committee went to Li Jianguo (concurrent).
当选为第十一届全国人大常委会副委员长的有王兆国、路甬祥、乌云其木格、韩启德、华建敏、陈至立、周铁农、李建国、司马义·铁力瓦尔地、蒋树声、陈昌智、严隽琪和桑国卫。第十一届全国人大常委会秘书长一职由李建国兼任。
