For months of debates, primaries and caucuses, these two candidates still see this race very differently including the significance of today's vote.

If you don't win by 10 points in Pennsylvania, are you going to leave this race?

I am not gonna make any predictions about how I am going to do in Pennsylvania. But I think the question could easily go to the other side. You know, Senator Obama is outspending me 3, 4 -1 on TV, the mails, phones all the things you do in a campaign. And if he doesn't win, what does that say about his ability to win the big states that/Democrat has to win in order to win the White House?

It doesn't say much because the fact is that my approval ratings here in Pennsylvanian among Democrats are extraordinary high;we do better than, among independents than Senator Clinton does. What it says is that she's started off here with 20 point lead and she's got a very strong popular Democratic Governor supporting her. Governor Rendell will strongly support me if I am the Democratic nominee. And I think we will do very well here in Pennsylvania.

So, but the question is you've lost in California, in Ohio, in New York and now it seems you're poised to lose in Pennsylvania. Why is it that you have been unable to win these big, diverse states with really a motherload of electoral votes?

Well, hold on a second, that, the, ur, now if anybody thinks that I will lose New York or California in the general election, there is no chance that will happen. I have no doubt that as a Democratic nominee we will be able to mobilize, ur, Democrats in Ohio, in New York, in California but also in Virginia, in Colorado in a host of other states that Senator Clinton would not be able to put into play.

But doesn't this all just come down to math, what reason could you have to possibly stay in this race if you don't win by 10 points or more in Pennsylvania?

Well, well, I don't think the margin matters;I think winners win.

You don't think the margin matters?

No, I don't think the margin matters, I think the.

What you say if you stay if you win by one point or if you don't win would you stay in the race?

Well, we will see what happens actually.

You are saying that's possible.

Well, instead of speculating, I will actually see what happens; I feel very good about my campaign here and we are certainly working very hard. But the bottom-line for me is that we have a lot of contests yet to go. This is a really close race and it's not just about the math, it's about an assessment.

You get to choose your pastor. You don't choose your family but you get to choose you pastor. And when asked a direct question I said I will not stay in the church.

I think a lot of folks were shaken by that debate last Wednesday because you know Senator Obama didn't have a particular good night and so people are starting to say we'll wait a minute, we have to have somebody who can stand on that stage and go toe-to-toe with John McCain. And it's not just math, it is feeling, it's history, it's, eh a sense of, you know what will or won't work and I feel very strongly that I will be the best president. Um, or I would certainly not be sitting here, talking to you.

I think it should be about who is gonna win in November, I think that's gonna be me. It will be all about the math; it will be about who has voted for who? And what I am confident about is that we have built the kind of coalition of not just Democrats but Independents from Republicans who are gonna be able to pull, pull off a big victory, a victory that not only allows us to take over the White House but also will allow us to govern, to solve the problems the American people are working to solve.

Robert Reich, you husband's former Secretary of Labor is endorsing Barack Obama because he saw your ads in Pennsylvania after Obama's comments about bitterness.

The good people of Pennsylvania deserve a lot better than what Barack Obama's said.

And he said "I was appalled frankly I saw it represented the nadir of meanspirited negative politics"; the ads are nothing but republicanism; its old politics at its worse; it is just so deeply cynical, your response?

Well, I think that anybody who knows what we are gonna be up against in the fall against Republicans understands that if we don't contest each other in the primary we are in for big surprise. There is no doubt that any issue is a fair game.

You don't think you have been too negative.

Absolutely not and frankly I think that his campaign has been far more negative.
