Alan Thicke's experience as an entertainer includes acting, writing, and producing and spans television, film, live entertainment, and theater. His efforts have earned him seven Emmy Award?nominations and a Golden Globe nomination for best actor. He made his Broadway debut as Billy Flynn in the Tony-winning "Chicago --The Musical" and subsequently starred in its national tour. Thicke costarred on the NBC series "Hope & Gloria" and has guest-starred on countless programs ranging from "Arliss" and "Married with Children" to "The Outer Limits." In addition to his role on "Growing Pains," Thicke has starred in such television and feature-film productions as Disney Channel's "Not Quite Human" trilogy, "The Calendar Girl Murders," "Windsor Protocol," "Rubdown," "Any Place But Home, "The Secret She Carried" (on which he also served as coexecutive producer), "Obsessed," "Betrayal of the Dove," "Ice Angel," and most recently "Crossroads," the Shanghai Film Studios sequel to the 1937 Chinese classic.
